Since 2025, PR Yard retrieves Instagram account statistics in the catalogue directly from the official Instagram Graph API by Meta. Thanks to this, advertisers can be sure that the numbers of followers, posts and engagement are always fresh and truthful. As a publisher, however, you need to authorize your Instagram account in PR Yard once, otherwise we won't be able to fetch statistics automatically and your account will be removed from the catalogue.

Why authorize your Instagram account

Instagram no longer allows third parties to fetch statistics anonymously (without the owner's consent). The old scraping method was permanently blocked in December 2024. The only way to guarantee fresh and verified statistics is official authorization from Meta.

Requirement: Creator or Business account

The Instagram Graph API only works for professional accounts — Creator or Business type. Personal accounts have no official API. If you have a personal account, you need to switch it to Creator first.

Switching is completely free, takes about 2 minutes and does not restrict you in any way — your account will continue to work as before, you will just get access to Instagram Insights and the ability to be listed in the PR Yard catalogue.

Step 1: Switch Instagram account to Creator

Switching is done directly in the Instagram mobile app:

  1. Open the Instagram app and go to your profile
  2. Tap the menu icon (three lines) in the top right corner
  3. Select Settings and privacyAccount type and tools
  4. Tap Switch to professional account
  5. Choose a category (e.g. "Blog", "Content creator", "Personal blog") and confirm
  6. Choose the type Creator — most suitable for publishers and influencers

Step 2: Authorize in PR Yard

Once your Instagram account is switched to Creator or Business, go to the PR Yard administration and perform the authorization:

  1. Sign in at market.pryard.com
  2. In the left menu select your Instagram space (or click "Connect" next to it directly in the overview)
  3. In the space detail, click the "Connect Instagram account" button
  4. You will be redirected to Instagram where you sign in with the account you want to link
  5. Confirm the two requested permissions: access to profile and posts and access to Insights
  6. After clicking Allow you will be returned back to PR Yard

What happens after authorization

In the Instagram space detail you will see the green text "Instagram connected ✓" along with a "Disconnect" button to cancel the connection if needed. From that moment on, our system will automatically fetch statistics once a day directly from the official Instagram API:

The authorization token is valid for 60 days and the system automatically refreshes it in the background, so you don't need to worry about anything.

What if I don't authorize my Instagram account

If you don't authorize your Instagram account within a reasonable period, the administrator will first notify you by email. In case of further inactivity, your Instagram space will be removed from the catalogue, because advertisers require guaranteed verified statistics. PR Yard could not offer them non-authorized profiles.

Each page has its own authority (ranking), which affects the weight of its links. In the PR Yard catalog, you'll find websites sorted by the Ahrefs Domain Rating (DR) metric, which measures domain strength. The higher the DR, the more valuable the links from that website are.
